Privacy policy

Last updated 21 August 2026

Housebroken is made by Aya Labs B.V. (“we”, “us”). It helps you track when your dog goes to the toilet and tells you when the next break is likely to be due. This policy explains what the app collects, why, and who it reaches.

The short version

Housebroken works without an account. If you never sign in, everything you record stays on your device and is never sent to us. Signing in is optional, and all it adds is syncing between your own devices and sharing a dog with someone else.

What the app stores on your device

Your dog’s name, breed, date of birth and weight, and every entry you log: the time, whether it was a pee, a poo or an accident, an optional place, and an optional note. Predictions, reminders and statistics are all worked out on the device from that data.

What is sent when you sign in

Signing in uses Google Sign-In. We receive your email address and your Google account identifier, and store them with our hosting provider, Supabase, so that you have an account.

While you are signed in, the dog profiles and log entries described above are also stored with Supabase, so that they reach your other devices and anyone you have invited to that dog. Optional notes are included. Only people you invite with a code can see a dog you own, and you can remove them again.

Analytics

We use Amplitude, on their European servers, to understand how the app is used. An analytics event carries a random identifier the app generates for itself, a session identifier, the name of the event, counts, elapsed times, and your dog’s age in weeks, which the prediction depends on.

Analytics events never carry your email address, your dog’s name, your notes or any photo. The random identifier is not an advertising ID, it is not shared with other apps, and it disappears if you reinstall.

Crash reporting

We use Firebase Crashlytics, a Google service, to find out when the app breaks. A crash report contains the stack trace, the device model, the operating system version, the app version and a Firebase installation identifier. It does not contain your dog’s records.

What we do not do

Housebroken shows no ads. We do not sell your data. We do not share it with anyone for advertising, and we do not use it to build a profile of you or to track you across other apps or websites.

Keeping and deleting your data

Anything held only on your device disappears when you delete the app. If you have signed in, deleting the app leaves the synced copy in place so that it is still there on your other devices.

Inside the app you can delete individual entries and whole dogs at any time. To delete your account and everything stored with it, write to hello@ayalabs.xyz from the address you signed in with, and we will delete it within 30 days. If you are in the EU, the EEA or the UK, you can also ask us at that address for a copy of your data or to correct it.

Children

Housebroken is not aimed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect anything from them.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy. The current version always lives at this address, and the date at the top says when it last changed.
